CATAN Console Edition Versions
With CATAN releasing on consoles this February and pre-orders starting February 3rd, 2023, you might be wondering what version to order! There are two different versions: Standard and Deluxe. As long as you pre-order, regardless of the version, you will be able to enjoy early access to the game five days ahead of the global release, though!
The biggest difference between Standard and Deluxe is that you can play five board layouts that were used at CATAN World Championships in single player and multiplayer mode when selecting Quick Play as a playing style. We recommend splurging for the Deluxe version if you are a fan of the board game already or if you like the idea of being able to play on pre-set maps.
CATAN: Console Edition – Standard
The Standard version for CATAN: Console Edition will retail for $19.99, £16.99 (Xbox) / £15.99 (Playstation), and €19.99. You can pre-order beginning February 3rd, 2023, and if you pre-order, you will be able to play the game five days ahead of the global release.
CATAN: Console Edition – Deluxe
The Deluxe version includes a custom Dice Skin and Hex Frame, access to five CATAN World Championship board layouts (taken from actual events!) that are playable in single and multiplayer modes. If you pre-order the Deluxe version of CATAN: Console Edition, you’ll receive a 10% discount. The retail price for the Deluxe version are as follows: $24.99, £19.99, and €24.99. You can pre-order beginning February 3rd, 2023, and if you pre-order, you will be able to play the game five days ahead of the global release.
