It’s a special time of year when developers are working hard to get projects greenlit or otherwise seek funding during the international convention at Gamescom. After pitching behind closed doors, the CEO of Certain Affinity, an assistant developer on titles like Call of Duty and Halo, has announced that it’s developing its own original IP with the working title Project Loro.
Certain Affinity CEO Max Hoberman made the announcement on Twitter, stating that there have been a lot of pitches in the last two days and he doesn’t want the information to leak. While the project codename doesn’t give away much, Hoberman lets it be known that is an original FPS IP, even sharing some banners with official art and the working title.
While there’s not much to go off of, the art looks unique for an FPS title, seeming to feature some European medieval armor and some kind of Eastern monk. There is also a large dark woman with a few arms and glowing white eyes. The undead zombies below her make it seem as if she will be the big bad of the title.
It seems like Certain Affinity isn’t ready to announce more yet, but this is a pretty big development for a studio that has previously stuck to assisting in franchises like Call of Duty and Halo over the last couple of decades.
