Charon’s Staircase is a first-person horror mystery shooter game that will give you chills. It will launch on PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in October 2022.
This horror-filled game was developed by Indigo Studios – Interactive Stories and is also the developer of Seven Doors. SOEDESCO is the publisher for this game and has published several titles, such as Saint Kotar and Kaze and the Wild Masks.

Charon’s Staircase is set in the 1970s when a totalitarian regime known as The Ministry rules with an iron fist. This group had committed several inhumane and sinister acts during its reign. Thankfully, those days are over as they hope to join the European Union.
In this game, you will play as an agent codenamed: ‘Desmond.’ The Ministry sends him to retrieve and destroy classified documents from the Oack Grove estate. The reason is that these documents reveal the horrifying acts that they committed in the past. While completing your task, it leads you to discover something unpleasant and unsavory – Project Alpha.
You are to uncover the secrets of Project Alpha and what The Ministry has been hiding while trying to survive and escape from the hellish horrors of Oack Grove. As you progress through your missions in this 70s Central European era, there are several mysteries and puzzles for you to solve.
Charon’s Staircase does have a mature rating and contains content not appropriate for all ages or may not be suitable for viewing at work as it may contain Frequent Violence, Gore, or Nudity. Thus, viewer discretion is advised.
