A lot of fans were somewhat taken aback by the introduction of Blueberry Pie’s voice, which turned out to be younger and kinder than expected. But players ultimately seemed content with it, nonetheless. The performance itself is solid, and still fits the character’s personality enough, with a slight edge.

There’s no denying the impact of Cream Puff Cookie getting their own Magic Candy, though. This additional buff could very well help Cream Puff Cookie enter the meta, which would certainly shake things up. It seems that Episode 16 isn’t just the mark of a new chapter, but also giving some overlooked characters much deserved love.

Overall, today’s trailer did a great job of equally building hype for both content and gameplay. It may have revealed a bit too much about the plot, but the City of Wizards is clearly going to be a satisfying addition to the lore.

It’s one of the more fantastic areas to explore, and the level design in today’s trailer definitely reflects that. The central characters also feel more grand or mythic, with some cosmic battle driving the story. It opens the door to just about anything in the future of the game, if it can play out in an interesting way. Fortunately, the premise seems like a great start.
