The upcoming turn-based strategic RPG deck-builder, Cross Blitz, has been officially announced to launch in Early Access later this year for PC. Developed by Tako Boy Studios and published by The Arcade Crew, the game offers fierce card battles set in the fantastical yet dangerous lands of Crossdawn Isle, featuring fearless pirates and dazzling pop-star divas.
In Cross Blitz, players will embark on two epic journeys packed with challenging card battles. Players may either join Redcroft, a fearless pirated attempting to win back his stolen freedom from the merciless Princess Eingana or help the pop star Violet as she searches for a mystical artifact to stop the evil escapades of a mysterious doppelgänger hijacking her stardom. Throughout each hero’s journey, players will visit a variety of unique locations while unlocking new cards, abilities, and relics.
Cross Blitz will put players’ tactical minds to the test as they explore its rich story and build the perfect decks. As they fight against enemies across Crossdawn Isle, players will be required to make use of clever card combos and synergies.
During its Early Access phase, Cross Blitz will offer players a more than 30-hour story campaign to experience, an expansive world to explore, and a host of colorful playable characters. Players will be able to customize their deck with over 200 cards as well as craft new cards to build the perfect deck. Additionally, the Early Access version will include Tusk Tales, a roguelite mode complete with randomized maps, unique card battles, unlockable tools, and key choices to make, perfect for those seeking an even greater challenge.
Tako Boy Studios has also revealed its plan to keep Cross Blitz in the Early Access phase for some time, allowing for thorough development leading up to a V1.0 release. By launching the game in Early Access, the developers aim to gather essential feedback directly from the player community, facilitating the polishing of gameplay mechanics and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all players.
While an exact release date for Cross Blitz has yet to be announced, you may add it to your Steam wishlist now to be notified when it becomes available.
