Warframe’s long-awaited Cross Platform Save feature has finally arrived, and not a second too soon. This has been a feature that many have asked for, and now players don’t need to lose their progress when they switch to a new console or PC.

The post and the changes coming to Warframe affect many accounts, so the developer needed to find a solution. There were two found that players can choose from: merging and linking. Merging is a one-time, irreversible fusion of multiple accounts. Choose your primary account, and the other account will fuse into it. Basically, your other accounts’ items, resources, and currencies get absorbed into the primary. Many have wanted it, but there’s no going back if you choose this.

Linking is the opposite, but without the loss. You can pick your primary account and link it to other accounts across platforms. From there, you’ll instantly access your primary account’s progress and goodies on all connected platforms. It’s like having a favorite Warframe suit you can effortlessly wear on any battlefield, no matter the device.

Merging is only available for accounts created before November 24, 2023, and have yet to migrate from PC to console. Accounts created after that date, or those ineligible for merging, can still join the Cross-Saving party through Linking.

There were also some stipulations to this. While most of your arsenal will happily hop across platforms, some items, like platform-specific skins and TennoGen purchases made after November 24, 2023, might have limitations depending on where you play. Platinum purchases also follow platform boundaries, so there is no cross-platform gifting between your Nintendo Switch and other consoles.

Doing this as soon as possible is best, so head over to your Account Management page. From there, you can choose to Merge or Link and complete everything. There is a limited time for cross-saving, which the developer still needs to confirm precisely, but it’s better to act now than later.
