Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a 10-episode anime story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, created by CD PROJEKT RED in cooperation with Studio Trigger. The animated series premieres on Netflix in September 2022.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a standalone, 10-episode series about a street kid named David Martinez, who is trying to survive in Night City. This city is much darker than it appears, as it is a technology and body modification-obsessed place that can either make or break you.
As he has everything to lose, David does the unthinkable to survive–he becomes an Edgerunner. Edgerunners are mercenary outlaws, also known as cyberpunks. Can he become the best in a deadly world where man must become a machine to survive?
Studio Trigger is an animation studio founded in 2011. Since its inception, Studio Trigger has been responsible for several entertaining and popular anime series. Some include Little Witch Academia, BNA, and Kill La Kill. Hiroyuki Imaishi will be the head director of this series. He is known for his work on BNA, Uchuu Patrol Luluco, and Kill la Kill.
Besides the director announcement, the opening song for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is “This Fire” by Franz Ferdinand, and the series’ music will be composed by Akira Yamaoka. Akira is a Japanese composer best known for his work on the Silent Hill series of video games and the anime Patema Inverted.
While the entire cast list has yet to be revealed, Studio Trigger announced at the Anime Expo that Zach Aguilar would star as David Martinez. Zach is an American voice actor known for his roles as Dr. Hedo in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and Luka Travers in Scarlet Nexus.
