Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.61 is now being distributed and will soon be made available on PC, consoles, and Stadia.
Cyberpunk 2077 1.61 update brings a variety of changes, enhancements, and fixes. This range from Quest and Open World features to some PC, consoles, and Stadia-specific tweaks. Furthermore, one of the highlights of the latest Cyberpunk update is its added support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1, a technology available to PC and next-gen consoles.
AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) utilizes cutting-edge upscaling algorithms to increase framerates in select titles and give high-quality, high-resolution gaming experiences without requiring a graphics card update. The FSR 2 is a next-generation temporal upscaling technology designed to provide native-like or superior image quality and improve framerates in games. FSR 2 was launched in May and was at first available to Deathloop. This AMD technology only continues to grow as AMD reported that more than 110 existing and upcoming titles support FSR. In only three and a half months after its release, 34 games were developed to support FSR 2.
Another key milestone for AMD’s FSR technology marks today as the new FSR 2.1, which includes improved upscaling picture quality, is now available on GPUOpen for software developers and in the most recent update to Farming Simulator 22 for video game players. On top of that, AMD made the announcement that one of the games that have received the most requests for FSR 2, Cyberpunk 2077, would be included in the list of upcoming titles for FSR 2.
As of now, Cyberpunk 2077 has not yet revealed when patch 1.61 will be made available to players of supported platforms. In spite of this, fans of Cyberpunk 2077 on PC and next-generation consoles may anticipate an enhanced gameplay experience as a result of the game’s support for FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1.
