Eternights, is an upcoming hack-and-slash indie game by Korean developer and publisher, Studio Sai. The game is described to feature a unique blend of dating and action.
Recently, Eternights is one of the four upcoming titles featured in the latest PlayStation Indie Spotlight announcements. Jae Yoo, the Game Director and Founder of Studio Sai, revealed some details regarding Eternights‘ gameplay. The game was also announced to be released in the early summer of 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. In Eternights, players will journey through a post-apocalyptic world that is packed with peril, romance, and exciting adventure. The game blends action-packed battles with a captivating love story as its narrative focus. Although the new video had shown some of Eternights‘ dating simulation elements, it mostly covered the action and combat features of the game. The teaser also featured some cinematic cut scenes that complemented the anime-inspired look of Eternights.
Eternights was first announced in June 2022, and Studio Sai has made multiple updates to the game since then. It was initially scheduled for release in early 2023, but the developer has delayed it to summer 2023 to provide more time to improve various features and deliver a more refined gameplay flow and immersion.
Eternights‘ game world has been expanded to be more rich and diversified, with new regions to explore, monsters to battle, and challenges to overcome. The level was designed to evoke a sense of exploration and adventure, encouraging players to explore the game’s universe deeper. The game will also have Japanese and Korean voices, allowing players to enjoy the story in their preferred language.
All in all, Eternights provides a fresh take on popular anime-style games, which may be appealing to fans of other titles with a similar aesthetic, such as Honkai Impact and Genshin Impact.
You may add Eternights now to your PlayStation Store, Steam, and Epic Game Store wishlist to be alerted when it releases.
