The prequel to the critically acclaimed Daymare: 1998 will finally arrive this August for PC and consoles.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is an upcoming third-person story-driven survival horror by developer Invader Studios and publishers Leonardo Interactive and 4Divinity. In this prequel to Daymare: 1998, players will take on the role of agent Dalila Reyes, a former government spy now in the service of the H.A.D.E.S. (Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search) unit, and prepare to face the true horror. It is set to launch on August 30th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch version of Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle will also be available at a later date.

In Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle, players will take part in the top secret “Sandcastle” mission as the game’s main protagonist, Special Agent H.A.D.E.S. Dalila Reyes, and reconstruct the past of some of Daymare: 1998’s most beloved characters. Players will engage in combat against the most difficult and aggressive adversaries, with some reviving in an entirely different shape and deadlier than before after being killed. Nonetheless, players will have the option to select the appropriate game difficulty based on their ability in combat and experience with survival horror.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle also features a new interface that is more simple and more intuitive, allowing players to easily manage their inventory, ammo, and health items directly. In solving environmental puzzles, players may take advantage of the innovative device installed on Reyes’s arm that can be used to analyze portions of the environment and reveal new puzzles to solve, pick up secret documents and detect hidden items.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle offers a wonderful blend of hardcore action game mechanics, environmental puzzles, a chilling soundtrack, exploration, and intense horror. It has an immersive nostalgic atmosphere that, similar to that of Daymare: 1998, gives players a feeling that they are in a typical action horror film from the 1990s.

You may add Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle to your Steam wishlist now to be alerted when it becomes available.
