For a while, stealth titles had a hard time finding their footing in an industry that was packed from wall to wall with shooters that tried to one-up each other every year. Deceive Inc. is making a place for itself since its release last year, with a number of content and quality-of-life updates since then. The latest update, High Alert, brings some notable changes including extra experience points and Heat balance changes.

As part of the update, the Heat System in the game is going to be updated with improvements following the Misery Empire update earlier this year. Since the response from the community has been so positive, the developer is going to turn up these changes, implying that the Heat system might become a little more strict. This is meant to encourage players to rely more on stealth tactics as opposed to running and gunning.

To celebrate these changes, the developer is also adding a double experience bonus to help reward players who are able to master the new techniques required. The double experience event is going to start tomorrow, June 15, at 8 a.m. and is running through June 19 at the same time.

That’s not all, as the developer has also released Deceive Inc.‘s official soundtrack, which can be found streaming on Spotify. The tracklist from Simon Cress features everything from the lobby music to specific level tracks that will allow players some easy listening while they work or play other games.

The developer encourages players to take advantage of these new features and balance patches as they try to escape with the loot.
