In the upcoming Destiny 2 Season 21, the Combat Gameplay team is set to introduce three new Strand Aspects aimed at enhancing the gameplay options and boosting the Strand kits for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks. Players will be able to acquire these Aspects by embarking on a new pursuit after visiting the Pouka Pond in Neomuna’s Hall of Heroes.
The Hunter class will receive the Threaded Specter Aspect, designed for the Threadrunner subclass. Upon activating their class ability, players will create a decoy from Strand matter that diverts the attention of nearby combatants. The decoy will eventually detonate after taking considerable damage or when enemies approach, inflicting damage and releasing Threadlings that attack nearby foes. This addition provides Hunters with a new way to generate Threadlings and control the battlefield.
The Titan class will see the addition of the Flechette Storm Aspect, specifically for the Berserker subclass. This new Aspect offers a slide-melee attack that propels the player into the air, knocking away and damaging nearby targets. While airborne, players can activate their charged melee again to unleash a cluster of Unraveling projectiles. This grants Titans a ranged melee option while maintaining their signature fast-paced gameplay.
Lastly, the Warlock class will obtain The Wanderer Aspect for the Broodweaver subclass. The Wanderer is a sentient Tangle that Warlocks can create by weaving a Tangle they pick up. When thrown, The Wanderer seeks targets, attaches to them, and detonates into a suspending burst. Additionally, Threadling final blows generate a Tangle. This new Aspect allows Broodweavers to enhance their Tangles and gain access to the suspend effect without the need for a Shackle Grenade.
The Combat Gameplay team is eager to launch these innovative Strand Aspects in Destiny 2 Season of the Deep and is looking forward to monitoring their performance across the game. They will continue to balance these Aspects over time to ensure a dynamic and engaging gaming experience for players.
