The Definitive Edition of the dice-based survival city-builder video game, Dice Legacy, is slated to launch on PlayStation and Xbox consoles later this month.
Developed by DESTINYbit, Dice Legacy features a roguelike experience set in a vast and mysterious Ringworld. Players will take on the role of one of seven unlockable rulers and lead their realm into prosperity or ruin by rolling the dice. The path to prosperity is riddled with challenges, making strategic decision-making important for survival. Developing a strategy will involve recruiting subjects, delving into new technologies, and carefully managing resources.
Dice Legacy was initially released in September 2021, for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. Since then, the game has received several updates as well as downloadable content.
DESTINYbit recently announced that Dice Legacy: Definitive Edition is set to launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on May 26th. Dice Legacy: Definitive Edition includes all content and scenarios from the original Dice Legacy release, and the three major updates: Memories, Forging a Realm and A Storm is Coming, as well as the Corrupted Fates expansion pack.
In Dice Legacy, players can select from three main game modes: Escaping Fate, Forging a Realm, and The Downfall. The Escaping Fate game mode involves building settlements, exploring the Ringworld, confronting adversaries known as the “Others,” and breaking the chains of Fate. Forging a Realm mode focuses on economic management, requiring players to meet the demands of their people to prevent the risk of being overthrown. Lastly, The Downfall mode was made as part of the Corrupted Fates expansion pack and presents a new gameplay in Dice Legacy where society is corrupt and weak, compelling players to construct a galleon and escape the forsaken land.
