Publisher ININ has announced that TAITO Milestones is back with a second installment, bringing a new collection of beloved classics for arcade fans.
Building upon the successful release of TAITO Milestones last year, ININ is proud to announced its highly requested follow-up, TAITO Milestones 2. The collection includes 10 classic Taito arcade games from the 1980’s to early 90’s. This compilation promises to relive the spirit of action-packed classics, and reignite the flame of TAITO’s nostalgic gems. ININ intends to deliver this collection exclusively for Nintendo Switch, physical and digital, on August 31st.
The following are some overview of the featured titles in TAITO Milestones 2 collection:
NewZealand Story (1988)
In NewZealand Story, players will tmbark on an adventure to save Tiki’s lover Phee-phee, and his friends by strategizing to complete the colorful mazes, and defeating enemies with arrows, bombs, lasers and more.
Kiki Kaikai (1986)
Kiki Kaikai is a classic shoot ’em up video game that takes players back in time to Feudal Japan. Players will take on the role of a Shinto shrine maiden, who, after being visited by the Seven Gods of Fortune, must fight against Yokai to save the kidnapped gods.
Darius II (3 Screen Arcade Version) (1989)
Darius II is a beloved action-arcade shooter where players will travel through stars, across planets, and beyond to fight against the intelligent creature Belser.
Gun Frontier (1990)
Gun Frontier is an exciting vertical-scrolling shooter set in the near future, where humankind has managed to colonize planets outside of our solar system. This shooter follows the pilots of the aircraft, Desperado, as they confront the space pirates, Wild Lizard.
Ben Bero Beh (1984)
Ben Bero Beh is a platform arcade game in which players control the superhero Dami-chan tasked to extinguish the flames in an apartment to rescue his girlfriend, Nao-chan.
The Legend of Kage (1985)
The Legend of Kage is an action-adventure title, in which players will take on the role of the Iga Ninja Kage and battle against Yukikusa Yoshiro and his demonic army to rescue the captured Princess Kiri.
Liquid Kids (Mizubaku Adventure) (1990)
Liquid Kids is a platform arcade video game where players control the young hero Hippopo who will fight to protect the peaceful Hippo country, Woody Lake, from the evil hands of Fire Satan.
Solitary Fighter (1991)
Set in the early 1950s, Solitary Fighter is a classic beat ’em up arcade game in which players fight against other challengers in the tournament known as the “Violence Fight” enemies as the young fighter Bud as well as other 6 playable characters.
Dinorex (1992)
Dinorex is a fighting game set in a world where humans and dinosaurs coexist. Players will play as a dino-tamer in one-on-one fights with special moves and combos to win the title of “King Dinorex.”
Metal Black (1991)
In Metal Black, earth is on the verge of collapse due to invading alien forces. This side-scrolling shooter challenges players to fight an alien race as they follow the story of rogue pilot, John Ford.
