Disney Speedstorm, the upcoming Disney kart racer from developer and publisher Gameloft, has just revealed a new trailer featuring the upcoming Founder’s Packs. These will be available in three editions, including Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate. They’ll offer early access to the game, instant racer unlocks, exclusive cosmetics, and more.

Disney Speedstorm is slated to launch into Early Access on April 18th, 2023. It will be available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and the Nintendo Switch.

Today’s new trailer also features a couple of sneak peeks for upcoming tracks, including Toy Story and Lilo & Stitch references. You can watch the full founder’s pack trailer on the official Disney Speedstorm YouTube channel:

The pre-orders revealed in today’s trailer will basically include all of the familiar, obligatory content that any game would. However, it’s unclear how early players will gain access to the game, and if that changes across the packs.

In fact, there aren’t many real differences between them aside from in-game currency. The trailer shows additional characters for larger editions, but the fine print mentions all of the same characters for any of the founder’s packs. And each pack only includes 1 racer unlock, regardless. Overall, the packs are a little confusing and certainly underwhelming.

It turns out that the biggest highlight in today’s new trailer was the unexpected spoiler for some upcoming tracks. Some very brief glimpses show off a lava lamp rocket ship with the aliens from Toy Story in it, a delightful Pizza Planet reference.

You can even see the classic cloudy sky wallpaper from Andy’s room, and some stacked cardboard boxes, so the track may very well have the scale for a toy’s point of view.

Also, there’s a coastal track with a UFO billboard and digital street sign featuring Stitch. The breezy, watery textures really have a colorful island vibe. These new tracks will definitely have the potential to become fan favorites.
