Physical games publisher, Super Rare Games, has made the announcement today that they would be releasing a limited physical edition of Dungeon Defenders: Awakened.
Developed by Chromatic Games, Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is a cooperative Action RPG Tower Defense game. It was first made available digitally for PC via Steam in 2020, followed by an Xbox One and Nintendo Switch release in 2021, and later in 2022 for PlayStation 4.
Up to four players may team up in Dungeon Defenders: Awakened to level up, claim legendary loots, and battle a never-ending army of orcs, demons, and dragons. Players will choose their hero and construct an epic defense to fight off hordes of enemies as they jump into the fray to protect the world Etheria.
Mastering the Squire, Huntress, Apprentice, and Monk will be crucial in the battle against hundreds of minions causing mayhem. In addition, players will have to construct various defenses, such as blockades, towers, traps, and auras, and put them into action in order to protect the Eternia Crystals.
Dungeon Defenders: Awakened features several game modes, including a Survival Mode, which allows players to test their strength, Pure Strategy Mode, which relies solely on building prowess, and Mix Mode, a game mode with unpredictable progress in which no stages play out the same. Dungeon Defenders: Awakened also includes a Rift Mode, which reduces the number of foes while presenting ultra-powerful versions of the monsters as well as additional weapons, armor, and accessories.
There will be only a total of 4,000 copies of Dungeon Defenders: Awakened physical edition that will be made available by Super Rare Games. Each purchase includes the assembled Nintendo Switch game with cartridge, interior art full-color manual, exclusive sticker, and set of 3 card trading card pack.
Super Rare Games will begin accepting pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch physical edition of Dungeon Defenders: Awakened on their online store on May 11th, 2023, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.
