Dungeon Munchies, the hit indie action RPG from developer and publisher maJAJa, has released an official trailer featuring both gameplay and all of the contents fans can expect from the physical editions. Dungeon Munchies first entered early access years ago, and it’s finally getting physical editions today.

The physical editions are available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. You can review all of the gameplay and new physical components in today’s trailer from publisher Serenity Forge:

Dungeon Munchies was an instant cult classic when it first launched, and it has continued to enjoy success with later ports. The game lives up to its mischievous premise, combining a lot of dark and clever humor with entertaining lore and mechanics.

It’s always a delight when devs choose to indulge all of the risks the indie scene allows, and use that freedom to improve their game. Dungeon Munchies embraces a strange tone with interesting characters and sparkling dialogue. It’s demented in all the best ways, and its attitude and path of success is probably comparable to Cult of the Lamb.

The physical edition looks great, and it’s reasonably priced. The collector’s edition is double the price for each available platform, which seems a little intimidating at first. There’s a middling amount of content, with traditional staples like an art print and a soundtrack download.

However, there are little twists on some of the smaller content, such as the metallic print and a sticker that glows in the dark. Also, the acrylic standee and linked charm are clearly the highlights. Their value and fun design are likely going to be the justification for any fans who invest in the collector’s edition price tag. Collectibles like that tend to rack up more value in-stores than expected.
