EastAsiaSoft, the Hong Kong based developer and publisher, has officially set an upcoming showcase for January 2nd, 2023. According to the description, this showcase will feature fifteen titles for various platforms.

These include Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Some of the titles may launch sometime later in 2023, too. You can find the showcase on EastAsiaSoft’s YouTube channel here:

EastAsiaSoft has a curious library of games under their belt. They’ve been known for dabbling in some tacky “mature” titles like their popular Pretty Girls series, Otoko Cross, and Waifu Impact.

In the same breath, you could also mention remarkable contributions to the beloved Sword and Fairy franchise, revealing Sword and Fairy: Together Forever last May, or even 16-bit shooter Rick Henderson.

So, EastAsiaSoft has mustered some compelling indies that sparkle with meaningful cultural influences, and also championed smaller projects that boast plenty of inspired effort. They market themselves as a niche team, which is certainly justified.

Recently, the team hosted a Softstar showcase for their titles under that partnership, and all four of the announcements concerned 2023 launches or ports that would be expected “in the first half” of the year, or even earlier.

It’s very likely that next week’s showcase will also feature Sea Horizon, Sword and Fairy Inn 2, The Bridge Curse Road to Salvation, and Xuan-Yuan Sword VII.

For example, Sea Horizon has received a lot of positive feedback since its initial launch last October, available now on PC and the Nintendo Switch. So, it would be very beneficial to build on that hype with release dates for other major consoles. It’s still expected to launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Hopefully, there will be updates on ports for games in similar positions to succeed.
