Elden Ring is the newest addition to the storied list of games that FromSoftware has released into the world. While it doesn’t follow Dark Souls lore, it forges its own path of brutality in a more open-world setting. While these games are thought of fondly, one common bit about them is how they are a bit difficult to understand. If you’re struggling with your fight against Godrick the Grafted, we’ll tell you what its weakness is and how to cheese the fight if you want!
Godrick Cheese & Weakness Guide
Godrick in Elden Ring has a weakness to both Hemorrhage (Bleed) and Lightning. There are a variety of Incantations and weapons that feature these buffs, so you can decide whether or not this is the way you want to defeat Godrick in the game.
To cheese Godrick, you will want to obtain the Rotten Stray Ashes summon. These can be found north of Sellia at the Under-Stair Site of Grace inside of a building with the corpse of a rotten dog. You can use this map to find the exact location if you are having trouble finding it.
Once you have the summon, you will want to level up to around 3 or 4. This can be done at the Table of Grace by using Grave Glovewort. If you don’t have any of it, you can head to this video to find out where to get a bunch of it.
Now that you have leveled up your Rotten Stray, head into the boss fight and cast it immediately. It will start attacking Godrick, and you will want to get in some hits while they are distracted. This will pull the focus off your dog, and keep it alive longer. You are basically just hoping that the Rotten Stray will land their poison damage over time effect on the boss. Once it has done so, you can then run off and hide while Godrick’s health slowly ticks down. Just stay away from them as much as possible and they will eventually succumb!
