Elden Ring player shows us what the most damage buffs at once looks like

An Elden Ring player shows us how to stack the most damage buffs possible, and then unleashes his fury on the Tree Sentinel.
Elden Ring Buffs

If you’re anything like me, when you play RPG games you’re utterly obsessed with buffs. I like to stack every enchantment, potion, or special piece of gear together to get the most outrageous increase to my abilities I can. Something about seeing my numbers go up because of a clever combination of hard-earned loot always gives me a certain kind of rush you just can’t find in other game genres. Today, an Elden Ring player showed us what happens when you stack what very well be the most damage buffs possible, and the result is amazing.

The Elden Ring player, who goes by u/23423423423451 on Reddit, made the post just two hours ago to the Elden Ring subreddit. After stacking what he believes to be the most damage buffs ever stacked at once, he unleashes his newfound power on an unsuspecting Tree Sentinel. The whole process takes a minute and a half, and hilariously most of that time is spent stacking buffs to defeat the Tree Sentinel in one hit.

All of this is done using only damage buffs, with the player slaying this boss with no levels in character or weapon. For those looking to recreate this buff build, here are his exact instructions from the Reddit post itself.

Items Needed

  • Black Dumpling Mask
  • (Mushroom Crown replaces black Dumpling after madness begins)
  • (White Mask Replaces mushroom crown after poison begins)
  • (Omensmirk Mask Replaces white mask after bleed begins)
  • Lord of Blood’s Exultation
  • Kindred of Rot’s Exultation
  • Red-feathered Branchsword
  • Axe Talisman
  • (Spear Talisman replaces Lord of Blood after buff begins)
  • (Radagon’s Soreseal replaces Kindred of rot after buff begins)
  • Short Sword+0 (Seppuku), Lightning Zweihander+0 (Royal Knight’s Resolve)
  • Commander’s Standard+0 (Rallying Standard), Jellyfish Shield
  • Godrick’s Great Rune
  • Physick Flask
  • Spiked cracked tear
  • Strength Knot Crystal tear
  • Rune Arc
  • Starlight Shard
  • Physick Flask
  • Frenzyflame Stone
  • Bloodboil Aromatic
  • Uplifting Aromatic
  • Fetid Pot
  • Neutralizing Boluses

Method

  1. Rune Arc
  2. Seppuku to mid health
  3. Wait for a rainy day to boost lightning affinity in Zweihander
  4. Starlight Shard
  5. Drink Physick Flask
  6. Drop Frenzyflame Stone to start madness buildup
  7. Drink Bloodboil Aromatic
  8. Madness Begins
  9. Swap hat to mushroom crown and step away from Frenzyflame Stone
  10. Use Uplifting Aromatic
  11. Use Rallying standard skill
  12. Throw a fetid pot to inflict poison (20 second timer starts now, toughest timer in this routine)
  13. Consume Neutralizing Boluses to cure poison
  14. Swap hat to white mask
  15. Use Seppuku Skill to trigger bleed and to get health low enough for boost from red-feather talisman.
  16. Swap hat to Omensmirk Mask
  17. Swap Lord of Blood and Kindred of rot talismans to Spear Talisman and Radagon’s Soreseal
  18. Switch right hand to Zweihander and use Royal Knight’s Resolve.
  19. Switch left hand to Jellyfish Shield and use its skill. Don’t 2 hand sword or buff vanishes.
  20. Attack with a charged heavy attack right before tree sentinel is about to land an attack so that it counts as a counter thrust for bonus damage and activates spear talisman, and land the blow within 20s of step 12, 1m of step 6, and 3m of step 5.

While the author himself admits this method of defeating a boss in Elden Ring isn’t exactly practical, it’s still hilarious to watch his Tarnished one-shot the Tree Sentinel with nothing but prep time!
