All Races in Elemental Grounds and Their Rarity
There are 13 races in Elemental Grounds, each with its own special abilities. Rolling for a race requires spins. Here are the rarities:
- Human: 93.2%
- Stoneborn: 5%
- Machine: 1%
- Mink: 0.4%
- Oni: 0.2%
- Nogitsune: 0.1%
- Commander: 0.03%
- Seer: 0.03%
- Starborn: 0.03%
- Descended: 0.008%
- Chtharium: 10% (Descended variant)
- Darkarch: 1% (Descended variant)
- Ascended: 0.008%
- Divinari: 10% (Ascended variant)
- Arch: 1% (Ascended variant)
Elemental Grounds Guide – Detailed Breakdown of Each Race
Human
The Human race is the default and has no special buffs or abilities. It’s the most common race (93.2% roll chance), so you’ll likely want to reroll for a different one as soon as possible.
Stoneborn
- Slower movement speed
- Powerful Punches
- 20% Damage Reduction
Stoneborn is a decent upgrade from Human with a 5% roll chance.
Machine
- Prefers dual pistols (not akimbo) instead of fists. Usable by Mechanization and Builder with the Engineer’s Kit. Not usable with akimbo pistols or magic restrictions.
- Malfunctions in rainy weather.
- Stormy Weather Boost
- Gains speed and jump boost in
- 10% Damage Reduction.
- Active Skill: Self Repair
Mink
- Uses electro fists (increased speed)
- Increased jump height
- Full Moon Weather Buffs:
- Flash Step cooldown halved
- Aura electrifies the area, slowing players and causing visual debuffs (can even ragdoll lower-level players)
- Increased speed and jump height
Oni
- No inherent buffs (mimics humans)
- True Form (activated under specific conditions):
- Increased movement speed and jump height
- Visible in the normal spectrum (no longer redshifted)
- 15% Damage Reduction
- Shogun Wielders:
- Tsukikage (moon) skills transform into Akatsuki (blood moon) skills
Nogitsune
- Aura shout causes fear (screen shake) in nearby players.
- Darkened punches inflict a small slow debuff.
- Increased speed
- Dark nebular effect and tail
- Immune to Mink electricity; shout can make Minks faint.
Commander
- Command players to build (2x speed) or do pushups (2x speed). Affects the Commander as well.
- Bodyguard (1 per life) with half the Commander’s level and high health, attacks anyone who attacks the Commander or the bodyguard.
- 15% resistance to camera shakes.
- Can use placeables without whitelist restrictions.
- Commander Salute Emoji
Seer
- Can see what other players are holding.
- Greatly buffs sight-based skills like Chrono Stasis (Definite Stop) and Third Eye (3x buff).
- “Chrono Detect” aura dodges bullets (scales with health and level).
Starborn
- Custom blade replaces punches.
- Can wish for health or speed.
- Can spawn anywhere on the map.
- Active nebular effect and a star.
Ascended
Three variants exist:
- Ascended (most common):
- Golden aura
- “Conqueror’s Will” skill (knockdown, becomes “Immortal’s Will” with 10 Multiplier)
- Max level 110
- Revives with 35% health after fatal injury (250-second cooldown per life)
- Divinari (rare, 1/10 chance):
- All Ascended buffs
- Max level 120
- Spawns a heavenly tree upon revival (WIP)
- Revives with 50% health
- Arch (very rare, 1/100 chance):
- All Ascended and Divinari buffs
- Max level 125
- 2x regen out of combat, 4x regen in combat
- Can summon Divine Eye (WIP)
- Revives with full health
Descended
Similar to Ascended, but with a dark theme. Includes Chtharium (common) and Darkarch (rare) variants, mirroring the Divinari and Arch forms of Ascended, respectively. The base Descended form is equivalent to the base Ascended form. If you use an ability above level 100 without an Ascended/Descended race, your level will be reduced to 100 (with a warning).
How to Spin for Race in Elemental Grounds
There are two ways to spin for a new race in Elemental Grounds:
- On the Main Menu: Click the “Spins” button, then use the “>” button to navigate to “Race Spin.” Click the Race slot at the bottom right of the screen, and then click “Spin” to try your luck.

- Soul Form: Press the Menu button on the left side of the screen. This will put you into Soul Form. Then, click the “Spins” button at the bottom of the screen to access the Race Spin menu.
- Do note that this menu button will disappear when you are in Soul Form. It’s only available when you are alive.
