Evil Dead: The Game makes use of a ton of classic Evil Dead franchise characters. This is especially true for the Survivors team, where players can make use of not only four different versions of Ash Williams, but also play as nearly all of his friends and companions met during the endless battle against the Evil Dead.
Though the game uses a lot of them, not every character in the Evil Dead franchise is featured in the game. A few notable fan favorites are absent, but the developers have already promised more characters are coming in the future. With this in mind, fans have begun speculating and requesting future characters they want to see playable in Evil Dead: The Game.
Reddit user u/RamiSamii gives us our first example of this discussion, asking other players if they think we might see Linda, Ash’s original girlfriend, added to the game in the future. Though she already exists in the game as the announcer/guide for the Kandarian Demon, fans of the game in the comments seem not only supportive of the idea, but convinced that we may see it in the future.
Though I personally don’t think we’ll be seeing Linda any time soon, for the reason mentioned above, I certainly wouldn’t mind if the devs decided to add her to the cast of Ash’s playable friends. If they go this route, I hope she gets some special interactions with Ash himself. Maybe Linda would have a special power involving amulets, given the significance of her necklace in Evil Dead.
Sweet Linda isn’t the only character players want to see added to the game. Reddit user u/Arrchyr confidently suggests that we need Chet Kaminski, Ash’s high school best friend and the polar opposite of Linda, added to the game next.
“No Fret Chet” is recruited by Ash to try and recover his stolen Oldsmobile in Ash VS Evil. An army veteran and eventual Ghost, Chet is a character who made an impression on fans and would certainly do well as a playable character in-game. The inventor of Pink-F, it would be interesting to see him have some kind of interaction with the experience-giving consumable, perhaps as a support-class character.
