While once only a space for the big names, many new creature-collecting titles are finding their audiences on PC, with Evolings from developer Sørb seeking to be the next unique take on the genre. Players who are curious about the pixel graphics and rogue-like format can play for themselves when the title officially releases on Sep. 21, 2023.

The new release date trailer shows some of the characters fighting as well as the hype fans had about Evolings in the developer’s Discord. After one user asks for a specific release date, the trailer states that the developer is happy to oblige before the game’s logo appears over the Sep. 21 release date. This is just over a month before the game’s full release.

Throughout the gameplay in Evolings, players shouldn’t encounter the same map twice due to its layout and creatures being created at each new level. While there will be levels full of turn-based combat to best, there will also be a three-act story to create a comprehensive RPG tale, with unique Evolings being presented to you throughout.

In the trailers, players can get a look at the cute visuals and the charming chip-tune soundtrack that captures the retro feel. Those who are curious about Evolings can play the demo that’s currently available on the game’s Steam page right now.
