You can’t go wrong when you mix dinosaurs and robots, so Exoprimal amazed everyone when it masterfully showcased what happens when the two fight when the trailer was revealed last year. While Capcom is getting ready for a major launch on July 14, it’s just been announced by the official Twitter account that the game won’t support cross-platform parties at launch.
In a tweet posted to the official Exoprimal account, it was announced that the game will support cross-platform play at launch, but players will have to wait before they can invite and join friends. It’s confirmed that the team is working on it, but they’ll need to work on each “platform ecosystem” separately, which means updates for PlayStation, Steam, and Xbox/Windows are needed.
Exoprimal is a unique PVP and PVE experience where two teams of players are placed in identical simulations of fighting against hordes of dinosaurs. Through the several choices of classes and robots that players can use, there is a range of characters to suit each playstyle, whether that be support, tank, or assault.
This dinosaur fighting game had a special demo period in April of this year, giving players a firsthand look at the different situations they can expect. It’s a very cinematic experience with unique moments like raptors falling out of a giant vortex that opens in the sky or a plane being attacked by a swarm of pterodactyls falling from the sky.
While players may have to wait a while before the cross-platform support releases, Exoprimal launches as a live-service title on July 14 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
