The horror classic FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is coming to modern consoles and PC on March 9, 2023.
FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is the fourth title in the Fatal Frame series. It is a traditional Japanese horror adventure game where the setting is the isolated Rogetsu island in Japan. Ten years after five young girls went missing during an island festival, three girls returned to the island to discover what happened. The girls must find relics to unravel the island’s history and search for their lost memories. To repel invading ghosts, the girls use Camera Obscura – a camera capable of photographing unimaginable things.
Koei Tecmo plans to release FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse on March 9, 2023, on consoles and PC. Furthermore, Koei Tecmo announced the release of Digital Deluxe Edition for consoles, which includes the downloadable content “Rogetsu Isle Dinner Party Costume Set” and a digital art book with the original soundtrack.
Additionally, those who purchased the game before March 22, 2023, will receive the hit costume of Ruka, “Maria Rose Outfit,” from the Dead or Alive Series. Moreover, those who pre-ordered the game before its release date will acquire costumes such as:
- Ruka’s limited Costume, “Fox Mask,” in black or red
- Misaki’s limited Costume, “Fox Mask,” in black or blue
- Choshiro’s limited Costume, “Fox Mask,” in black or blue
- Ruka Misaki and Choshiro limited edition costume “Spirit Stone Flashlight Hat.”
Players may receive a Camera Obscura hat if they have saved data from the previous franchise, Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, on the same device. Meanwhile, the system requirements for FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse on Steam have not yet been updated. Nonetheless, more information is expected to be reveled prior to its release.
