In a recent announcement, publisher PID Games has revealed that Lempo, an upcoming psychological horror game, is set to launch on September 7th for PC and PlayStation 5. Developed by One Trick Entertainment, Lempo promises a spine-chilling horror experience inspired by Finnish mythology, with a focus on exploration.

Lempo follows the terrifying journey of Paul, a man who finds himself lost in a dense and mysterious forest after a day of work. The dark forest is linked to an otherworldly plane of existence, known as Metsänpeitto, filled with threats and enigmatic forces. Taking on the role of Paul, players must find a way out of the malevolent forest before it consumes them.

As players navigate the dark and vast Metsänpeitto, they may light up their way with a lighter and flashlight to investigate environments. Players will find valuable items scattered around these environments that can be used for uncovering mysteries. Using a compass throughout the journey will also be helpful to guide players on their way out of the forest. Along the way, players will also encounter souls that may offer important clues for unraveling mysteries.

Although combat is not a necessity for survival in Metsänpeitto, players will be tasked with solving complex puzzles. Solving these puzzles is pivotal in uncovering the forest’s secrets and ultimately in escaping the eerie place.

Lempo is a promising horror title, offering an immersive nightmare experience further enhanced by its shivering visual and sound atmosphere. Based on Finnish mythology, the game introduces a twisted realm where the laws of the real world do not matter, featuring events and beings beyond human comprehension.

For those eager to explore the world of Lempo, a playable demo is currently available on Steam, providing a taste of the thrilling journey that awaits. PS5 users may now also add the game to their PlayStation Store wishlist to be notified as soon as it becomes available.
