The gameplay of Fire Emblem Engage will be similar to that of earlier titles in the series, with the inclusion of Emblem Rings that enable units to battle with lords from previous titles, such as Marth. Fire Emblem Engage is set on the continent of Elyos and contains summonable versions of past series protagonists. The game was initially revealed at the Nintendo Direct last September. A “Divine Edition” of the game, which includes an artbook, poster, steelbook cover, and art cards portraying the previous protagonists that can be summoned with the Emblem Rings, was also announced. The Nintendo website for Fire Emblem Engage provides the following details about the game’s narrative.

In a war against the Fell Dragon, four kingdoms worked together with heroes from other worlds to seal away this great evil. One-thousand years later, this seal has weakened and the Fell Dragon is about to reawaken. As a Divine Dragon, use rich strategies and robust customization to meet your destiny—to collect Emblem Rings and bring peace back to the Continent of Elyos.

In Fire Emblem Engage, Alear, a divine dragon, has awakened from a thousand-year sleep to aid in the battle of the Fell Dragon by collecting the Emblem Rings scattered around Elyos. In this brand-new Fire Emblem narrative, players will summon valiant heroes such as Marth and Celica through the power of Emblem Rings and augment their abilities. Engaging allows players to inherit weapons, abilities, and more from these battle-tested legends, in addition to their appearances. Pre-orders for Fire Emblem Engage are now available for $59.99. Visit the Nintendo Store or any other authorized retail outlets to make your purchase.
