Fortnite has become the center of pop culture by attracting many famous artists from the music and entertainment industries. In addition to the major live concerts, Epic has also introduced the Soundwave Series, which features talented artists worldwide. The most recent event saw players flying through the music of Tones and I, and the next artist has been announced as well.
Emicida is the next performer for the Fortnite Soundwave Series, and the event will happen on April 29, 2022, at 6pm ET. The show will air for the next 72 hours for anyone who wants to tune it. It’s likely to be a show unlike any other as players vibe to the Brazilian rapper.
Emicida Soundwave Series
Like the live events, each Soundwave Series is an interactive experience that players can enjoy alone or with other players through matchmaking. This experience is made by BertBuilds, Paradox Builds, and Zen Creative. According to Epic, Emicida’s event is inspired by his own life, and he plans to show that through his music.
The artist grew up in Jardim Cachoeira in north São Paulo, Brazil. From then, he became one of the most famous rappers in Brazil. Originally Emicida started locally in street rap battles, and he grew before eventually he was recognized around the world.
When the show goes live, players will be able to join via the Soundwave Series: Emicida spot on the Discover page or by using the Island Code 6929-7613-7801. Finishing the event will reward players with experience and a spray that mirrors the similar one given out at the Tones and I event but in green.
The Item Shop will also have an Emicida track and the Triumphant Emote for players who enjoy the show. These will be available in the item shop almost 24 hours before the actual event, starting on April 28 at 8pm ET.
The previous Soundwave Series featuring Tones and I took players through different locations, including a literal broken home, a field of tornadoes, and a room that allowed players to shoot paint and screen the concert wherever they were. This next concert featuring Emicida is likely to be just as much fun as the previous two.
Epic also announced that Japanese pop artist Gen Hoshino and French-Malian singer Aya Nakamura would also be getting a Soundwave Series event sometime in the coming months. But, for now, players can tune into Emicida on April 29.
