Fortnite has recently rolled out a series of updates that have buffed the Lock On Pistol and Thunder Spears while vaulting the Forecast Augment in both Arena and Tournaments.

The Lock On Pistol, known for its fast-firing, semi-automatic capabilities, now boasts increased damage output, lock-on speed, and a faster fire rate between bursts. This unique weapon features a tracking system that activates when a player aims down sights within a maximum range of 50 meters. As an opponent enters the blue circle surrounding the player’s crosshair, up to four bullets will charge, all hitting the target when fired. The fourth bullet in the burst is always guaranteed to be a critical hit.

Meanwhile, the Thunder Spears have also received a damage boost, and they now explode faster after the fuse is pulled. Players can use these weapons most effectively by sneaking up on unsuspecting opponents. Although the Thunder Spears can be challenging to master, their powerful impact makes them a valuable addition to any player’s arsenal. Some players also utilize the ODM Gear in conjunction with Thunder Spears for added effectiveness.

The Forecast Augment, which allowed players to always see the next storm circle, has been vaulted in both Arena and Tournaments. This change may significantly impact gameplay strategies, as players will no longer be able to rely on the Forecast Augment to plan their movements in advance.

Throughout each match, players are given the choice between two random Augments, which can provide a competitive advantage. As the match progresses, more Augments will be offered, lasting until the end of the game. Unfortunately, these Augments do not carry over into subsequent matches. Players can reroll for a different Augment, but only the first reroll is free. Subsequent rerolls cost 100 gold bars each.
