Fortnite is rumoured to be developing an innovative car racing game mode. This new mode is expected to be playable in both regular and competitive formats (according to leaks), broadening the game’s scope and adding a dynamic new way for players to engage.

Details of this new game mode suggest it might hit the virtual shelves in the next five months. With 18 divisions planned for player rankings, it looks set to offer a layered and competitive gaming experience.

This development comes on the heels of Epic’s unveiling of the Unreal Editor for Fortnite, which has opened up vast new possibilities for the game. This car racing mode, however, is expected to be a brainchild of Epic itself. This means that the mode will likely be more customized than the standard map.

Adding to the intrigue surrounding this development, recent leaks hint at the possible addition of car customizations. If these rumors are true, it’s clear that Epic plans to infuse this new game mode with a high level of detail.

But the car racing mode isn’t the only thing stirring excitement. Other recent leaks have revealed that a potential first-person mode might also be in the works. Developers have been spotted working on a ‘Shoulder Swapping’ feature, seemingly in preparation for this new mode. This function could also find its way into the third-person mode if development proceeds as speculated.

Epic Games shows no signs of slowing down in their quest to continually enhance and expand the Fortnite universe. With every new addition, they continue to captivate their players, offering fresh ways to enjoy the game.
