It’s officially been six years since Fortnite first released and changed gaming as we know it, with countless franchises and other titles trying to mimic its free-to-play or Item Shop models. Today, developer Epic Games has begun celebrating the anniversary of Fortnite‘s launch with new cosmetics and quests for a limited time.

Those who log in today through next Tuesday will be able to take advantage of Fortnite‘s sixth birthday events, with three quests unlocking the cosmetics from the event. Players will be able to earn one reward per quest, with them being unlocked in this order: Birthday Basher Pickaxe, Birthday Dash Spray, and the Slice O’ Six Back Bling.

There will also be new items and augments added to the game specifically for Fortnite‘s birthday party, with balloons and a red velvet birthday cake consumable being found at major POIs. For on-demand balloons every time you jump, the Jump Balloon Reality augment will help. Players will also be able to find the Legendary Birthday presents item that can be thrown to spawn unique loot anywhere on the Island.

A lot has changed since Fortnite was launched six years ago, with many of its original staff leaving, including a celebrity in the community, Donald Mustard. While the game has continued to evolve and impress many new audiences, the growth has been enough for some fans to grow out of their love for the title.

With the future of the title still uncertain, many players are still eager to celebrate the game’s birthday in the hopes that it will have more to come in the future.
