Fortnite Festival Announces ‘Popular’ Music Video Debut For Weeknd

Fortnite Festival is the music rhythm game mode developed by Harmonix and Epic Games. It is set to host the exclusive premiere of The Weeknd’s new music video for Popular. This will feature collaborations with Madonna and Playboi Carti. The video will be available for viewing within the game from February 15th, 2024, at 7 PM ET until February 18th, 2024, at the same time.

During this time, the Popular music video will be publicly accessible through the Fortnite Festival. The viewing area for the video will be located in the Jam Stage, which is where you can go in the game mode normally. You can access the stage by going to the Discover screen and selecting Festival Jam Stage. Once there, go to the designated area marked by a large screen showcasing the music video.

According to the official post, jamming and emotes will be turned off in the dedicated viewing area. However, Players can still jam with others throughout the Jam Stage while the music video plays on repeat. If you are a fan of Popular, you can buy the Jam Track from the Fortnite Shop. This lets you perform or jam to the music video, giving a different interactive experience than simply watching the video.

The Popular premiere marks the final weekend of The Weeknd’s featured role in Fortnite Festival’s inaugural season, “Opening Night.” Season 1 concludes on February 22nd. All leaderboards will be reset when a new season begins, offering another chance for players to reach the top in the future.
