It’s been roughly two weeks since the start of Fortnite‘s Summer Escape event started, with the event ending today. No content update is expected this week due to Epic Games’ summer break, which means players will likely need to wait until a week from tomorrow, July 25. This assumption was seemingly acknowledged and given credit by a data miner earlier today.
According to a famous Fortnite data miner and creator, ShiinaBR, content update v25.20 was added to the staging servers. These updates are usually staged a week ahead of time, with the data miners usually giving players a heads-up like this. These specific leaks are fairly accurate and it makes sense with Epic coming back from its break this week to get everything in place. It’s unclear what this update could include, but if there are any major events this season, they should start to be added then.
After that update, players will only have a month left before the end of Chapter Four, season three, which will lead us into the next season. It’s been noted by some leakers that Fortnite Chapter Four could have larger individual seasons and this season seems to be ending earlier than last year’s summer season.
It may not be on July 25 exactly, but Tuesday is usually the update day for new content. Sometimes the update can get pushed a day or two if there are some issues, but the data miners seem to be pretty confident that the update is coming sometime next week.
Epic usually posts the downtime ahead of the update on the Fortnite Status Twitter account, allowing players to know when the game will go down to implement the update.
