In a surprise announcement on Twitter, Fortnite has revealed that it will be returning to Chapter 1 on November 3, 2023. The tweet, which features the words “Sprint (or Mantle, your choice) back to Chapter 1” and the hashtag #FortniteOG, has sent fans into a frenzy.

Fortnite Chapter 1 ran from July 2017 to October 2019 and is widely considered to be one of the golden ages of the game. The original map, which was simpler and more focused on combat, was incredibly popular with players. Chapter 1 also featured a more cohesive story and more iconic characters, such as Jonesy and Raven. So we’re happy that this tweet was released.

In recent years, Fortnite has undergone a number of changes, both positive and negative. The game changed a lot, like adding vehicles and removing traps, but it feels so foreign from the original. Many fans have been calling for a return to the simpler gameplay of Chapter 1, and it seems that Epic Games is finally listening.

The excitement for the return of Chapter 1 has sent the comments into an uproar of happiness. Fans are posting about their joy with images and gifs of celebrations. It’s honestly something I never thought we’d see.
It remains to be seen exactly how Fortnite will be returning to Chapter 1. It’s possible that the game will simply revert to the original map and gameplay mechanics. Alternatively, Epic Games could be planning a more creative approach, such as a limited-time event or a new game mode.

Whatever happens, the return of Chapter 1 is sure to be a major event for the Fortnite community. It’s a chance for fans to experience the game the way it was meant to be played, and it’s also an opportunity for new players to see what all the fuss over the old map is all about.

Personally, I hope we see the return of the rare skins from the original seasons. I never got the Black Knight and always regretted it, I just need that one skin and I’ll be happy.
