Fortnite has made a name for itself when it comes to collaborating with other media brands, including the most recent season’s inclusion of Optimus Prime. Now, developer Epic Games has confirmed that three new Transformers skins will be coming as part of a special character pack starting on Oct. 13 in digital storefronts and Oct. 21 in retail stores.
Epic made the announcement on the official Fortnite blog, stating that three new skins will be available when the pack releases later this year. The three characters included in the pack are series favorites Bumblebee, Megatron, and the new addition of the Fortnite Battle Bus as its own Transformer, even though it recognizes it’s not an official member of the franchise.
Not only will this pack include the three new skins, but they also each have their own back bling and pickaxe, with two of them having their own emote as well. The pricing will be around $25 USD plus tax, but it will also include 1,000 V-Bucks that players can spend on other cosmetics or to purchase the game’s battle pass.
As previously stated, the Transformers already have a presence on the island with Optimus Prime in the battle pass and multiple references to the two warring factions’ iconography.
