Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), a worldwide event dedicated to fostering digital inclusivity, will be commemorated on May 18, 2023. As part of the celebration, Epic Games is using their platform Fortnite to promote the principles of global accessibility. The term global accessibility refers to the practice of ensuring equal opportunities for everyone to enjoy digital platforms, achieved by implementing necessary accommodations.

In Fortnite, Epic has demonstrated their commitment to this principle by introducing features such as controller compatibility and personalization, visualized sound effects, and customizable subtitles. These enhancements aim to make the game accessible to a broader audience, aligning with GAAD’s mission of raising awareness for global accessibility.

The Access Core Back Bling and Good Game, Well Played Emote are available for all Fortnite players. By incorporating these free items, Epic Games emphasizes its commitment to promoting a more inclusive digital landscape.

In addition to the free items, Epic Games has made an update to the existing Marigold Outfit. All players who own this Outfit will now have access to the new Phantom Code Marigold Style, which can be selected from the Locker.
