Fortnite has just announced how they plan to celebrate May the 4th in 2022, including returning items and special quests that will run through May 17th.

Here’s the official tweet, with a short video highlighting some lightsaber action:

You will be able to use previously released Star Wars items to unlock an Empire Banner. Any Star Wars outfits that entered the item shop will be available, aside from Battle Pass exclusives.

The biggest draw is the return of lightsabers! You’ll be able to use the Jedi weapon of Luke Skywalker, Mace Windu, and Obi-Wan. And for anyone who finds that anger gives them focus, Kylo Ren’s classic lightsaber will be available too.

You can also get your hands on an E-11 blaster, the standard issue weapon of the Imperial Stormtrooper. You’ll have to get to a Stormtrooper checkpoint and pay for the E-11 with Bars, but you may still find one in chests, or even on the ground.

Quests and Outfits

The fresh content is tremendous fun, as players can experience official Stormtrooper Training! Through May 17th, 12 AM eastern, you’ll be confiscating vehicles and lightsabers for XP and the Empire Banner. Hopefully, there will be some target practice, too.

Today, you should also keep an eye out for a Star Wars Lightning Cup, which was recently leaked. It should feature a specialized loot pool that may help players celebrate Star Wars Day.

Fans should expect the return of some classic outfits, including the heroes Zorrii Bliss, Finn and Rey. The more ambiguous (and recent characters) are Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, and the wookie Krrsantan from The Book of Boba Fett.

Lastly, the Dark Side outfits will feature Kylo Ren, Stormtroopers, and Sith Troopers. So, there are three outfits apiece for fans to play out any side of the Star Wars universe.
