Fortnite continues to ramp up this season with more content than ever, announcing a new Naruto crossover that will go live on June 23rd, 8 AM eastern time.

Here’s the official tweet, which explains that aside from Team 7, there will be plenty of new cosmetics and quests to discover:

These new cosmetics are impressive and worthwhile, showing a clearer understanding of the source material with fun and creativity. The new characters were solid choices, although not every fan was pleased, and some players are concerned about challenge difficulty.

Cosmetics, Gear and Challenge breakdown

The promo links to an extensive blog, which thoroughly breaks down the entire backstory for the four new characters that will be added to the game. This includes Itachi Uchiha, Gaara, Orochimaru and Hinata Hyuga outfits. Each of them will also come with an alt style.

The new back blings players can expect include Hinata’s Backpack, a Sand Gourd, and the Black Ops Mask. Aside from the default Black Ops, this mask will add Tenzo, Kakashi, and Itachi alt styles.

The latest pickaxes will include Minato’s Kunai and the Sword of Kusanagi. You can pick up two new gliders, such as Gaara’s Sand Cloud Glider and a Manda Glider.

Players can earn the Manda Glider and an Akatsuki Wrap by completing Nindo Community Challenges, which just returned today at 4 AM eastern time. Tasks must be finished in Fortnite Battle Royale or Fortnite Zero Build. However, you can also purchase the Manda Glider or Akatsuki Wrap later on.

Finally, the new emotes for this crossover will be the Rasenshuriken and Striking Shadow Snakes. Most of the new content will be available in three bundles: Itachi & Orochimaru, Gaara & Hinata, or Ninja Gear.

Not to be outdone by Apex Legends, which has an anime tie-in event coming soon, Fortnite is pushing the bar for sheer content volume.
