Epic Games has had a successful live-service game that many new titles seem eager to emulate, but it all started with Fortnite‘s Save the World game mode. Now, six years after its launch, the developer is making big changes to the daily reward system, the biggest of which is completely removing the daily login rewards in the game’s 25.10 update tomorrow.

Epic made this announcement via its blog ahead of the update being released tonight, giving players who still engage with Save The World a heads-up about upcoming changes. The biggest of which is the removal of daily login rewards, with them instead being shuffled into the current daily quest rewards so players can continue to get the same value.

According to the blog, this is meant to help players who can’t log in every day, instead giving players who miss a couple of days the opportunity to catch up and receive the same currency. Those who work hard will actually be able to earn more gold through this new system though, with Epic Games adding more resources to the shop for players to buy.

Certain players who’ve been playing Save the World for the last three years may have been receiving Founder Llamas through daily rewards. If players have any of these remaining, they’ll be immediately given to players without the need to complete any extra activity once the update launches tomorrow.

For items like Schematics, Heroes, Defenders, and similar equipment, Mini-Boss Mission Alerts are being tweaked to provide higher-value loot. This applies to the different mission types across Save the World, with most rewards being repurposed for these specific level types.

Overall, it seems this change is meant to serve players who like to play Save the World but can’t afford to log in every day due to their other responsibilities.
