The official downtime for Fortnite Chapter 4 or update v23.00 has concluded, but there seems to be a lot of issues for some folks trying to access the newest content for the popular game. Right now, there aren’t any mass outages being reported officially, but based on players tweeting at @fortnite and @fortnitestatus, there are issues across platforms for logging in and getting the updated game to either install or to load.
Per Epic Games’ status page, everything is currently operational, but we know that’s not quite true! Let’s go over some of the major issues that are still being resolved by Fortnite:
v23.00 Not Being Installed on Android Devices
This is an issue that Fortnite is investigating and has been for a few hours now! They officially announced their investigation via Twitter three hours ago. They confirmed this issue as of 1:15AM PT on December 4th.
They have kindly provided a small update as of a half hour ago, but unfortunately, it was just to let us know that the issue is still being investigated and that they are working on a fix. They announced this on Twitter as of 4:35AM PT on December 4th.
Unable to Load Battle Royale Island in Creative
Another issue that has been discovered and that the Fortnite developers are looking into is that players are unable to load the Battle Royale Island in Creative Mode. They confirmed this issue as of 4:54AM PT on December 4th.
