Fortnite’s version 22.40 has been released, marking the game’s last major update before the end of Chapter 3 Season 4. The 22.40 update for Fortnite Battle Royale adds the Octane vehicle from Rocket League as well as the Grapple Glider. Players may also participate in the Big Battle LTM by joining a large team. In addition to new content like Rocket League vehicles, Tainted Towers, and cosmetic items, version 22.40 will also bring several map changes.
A Twitter thread by Fortnite News gives a detailed look at all the map changes featured in v22.40. The Island in Fortnite v22.40 will be under the biggest threat it has ever received. The epic finale will take place on December 3rd, and The Herald is expanding the chrome even more in preparation for it. The Tainted Towers have fallen and the inevitable has happened. The only building in the POI that is still standing is the clock tower, which was saved by No Sweat Insurance.
The little hut that was located to the north of Chrome Crossroads has also been defended from the chrome. Both the Flairship and the Pirate Ship have successfully accomplished their objective of preventing the further spread of Chrome over the Island and rescued all of the remaining Loopers. They are now standing beside the shattered remnants of the Foundation Statue.
Fortnite 22.40 update also addressed some issues on outfits from previous Seasons’ Battle Passes and the Interact icon (hand icon) has been completely removed from the Fire button in the mobile application. Specific “Use” actions will now be represented by their own icon. As such, eating and drinking actions will now have their own icon.
More exciting features are set to arrive in Fortnite as the latest in-game event, Fracture, kicks off in December. Visit the official website of Fortnite for the latest updates and content changes.
