A possible Fortnite and Doctor Who collaboration could be on the horizon, according to a recent tweet by iFireMonkey. The event is likely to be planned for November, coinciding with the 60th anniversary specials of the popular sci-fi series. If the collaboration comes to fruition, it would join the ranks of several other recent partnerships that have taken place within the battle royale game.
The Doctor Who event in Fortnite would span two weeks and offer players a variety of free rewards and challenges, similar to previous events like Most Wanted or the Dragon Ball collaboration. The in-game Item Shop would introduce two skins, two pickaxes, one glider, and one emote inspired by the Doctor Who universe. Additionally, players could earn a free Beep the Meep Spray by exploring a related Creative map.
This potential collaboration might have been inspired by previous plans to release Doctor Who skins in both Fortnite and Fall Guys through a “Zero Point” event. While the skins have already been released in Fall Guys, the initial concept for a crossover event between the two games was eventually scrapped.
The tweet from iFireMonkey also mentioned the appearance of “Garage Debug” as one of the tabs in a leaked image, potentially hinting at the previously leaked DelMar mode with vehicle customization features.
Fortnite has seen a variety of successful collaborations in recent times, including partnerships with DC’s Black Adam, The Evil Dead’s Ash Williams, and iconic Star Wars characters Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo, among many others.
While the Fortnite x Doctor Who collaboration has yet to be officially confirmed, the possibility of such an event is generating excitement among fans of both franchises. With the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who on the horizon, the timing of this potential collaboration could provide a unique opportunity for fans to celebrate within the world of Fortnite.
