Get an overview of Front Mission 2: Remake‘s story in a new trailer from Forever Entertainment’s official Youtube channel:
The events of Front Mission 2 take place 12 years after Front Mission 1st. It is set in Alordesh, a modern-day Bangladesh and a member state of the Oceania Cooperative Union (OCU). During the 1st Huffman Conflict in 2070, Bangladesh’s economic growth flourishes with the OCU because of many war factories in the country. However, the economic boom begins to slow down in 2080 as several businesses and their foreign investors withdraw.
Five years later, the OCU offered foreign aid to Bangladesh on the condition that it join the union. Due to the 2nd Huffman Conflict, Bangladesh’s situation drastically worsened and OCU’s popularity in the country plummeted. As anti-OCU sentiments grew in the wake of the war, Bangladesh officially changed its name to the “People’s Republic of Alordesh” in 2094. Four years later, the military of Alordesh staged a coup d’état. While the coup failed, it further increased anti-OCU support and led to a second coup in 2102.

The trailer suggests that the game’s story will be complex and engaging, and the updated graphics look stunning. Fans will not have to wait long to find out whether or not the remake lives up to the expectations as the game is scheduled to be published later this year.
