F1 Manager 2023, an upcoming Formula 1 management sim sequel from returning developer and publisher Frontier Developments, will officially launch in summer 2023.
The announcement included a brief cinematic teaser, which broadly describes the potential responsibilities and sim mechanics players can expect. The description mentions that you can choose from ten teams to compete in 23 races and six F1 Sprint Events.
F1 Manager 2023 doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but it has confirmed the supported platforms. It will be available on PC and current or last-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles. You can watch today’s new teaser on the PlayStation YouTube channel:
Frontier Developments received enormous praise for the previous game, F1 Manager 2022, thanks to its remarkable depth and intuitive mechanics. The sheer level of control and detail is impressive enough, but there is a genuine sense of overall player influence that makes every step of progress unusually rewarding.
Today’s teaser is far too brief to derive any notable information about the sequel. But an official post does mention some of the intriguing new features that will be introduced.
The highlights include a new Race Replay mode and improved racing dynamics. The “racing lines, overtakes, on-track battles and incidents” will each add even more realism and challenges.
These are the kind of minute features that distinguish the F1 Manager series, creating immersion that feels behind-the-scenes and tough. The devs have gotten even more creative in their pursuit of unrivaled authenticity.
F1 Manager 2023 looks to elaborate on its predecessor in all of the right ways, continuing to expand its management features without becoming unbalanced or losing sight of the thrill of actual racing.
