Genopanic equips players with an array of weapons, such as gravity guns, plasma cutters, and flamethrowers, to combat the twisted experiments that have escaped. The game features a non-linear story, beautifully rendered in pixel art, with traps and mini-games that reward players with space suit upgrades and new abilities. Players can also collect genetically engineered critters and shuttle them to safety while receiving guidance from an adorable AI dog companion, provided they remember to change its battery on time.

The game offers an accessible experience with no permadeath system and ample replayability. Genopanic’s atmospheric levels and unique characters, combined with a diverse selection of weapons, ensure players have the tools to defeat any mutant adversary. Hidden data disks scattered throughout the space station unlock distinctive motion and combat abilities, offering even more strategic options.

The non-linear story presents players with a choice between a challenging, mysterious adventure or a fun, carefree romp. With four possible endings, the game’s conclusion depends on the players’ actions and decisions. The atmospheric soundtrack and handcrafted sound effects immerse players in a genuine space adventure as they explore the space station’s levels in a free order, uncovering secrets and battling rivals. Genopanic’s launch in Q2 2023 promises a captivating experience for fans of pixel art space platformers.
