Genshin Impact 2.7 is arriving soon, introducing new characters, story quests, and exciting events. Along with the announcement of the 2.7 Special Program, Genshin Impact has also posted an update notice, revealing the maintenance duration of the 2.7 update and the release date of Version 2.8.
Unfortunately, the release of Genshin Impact 2.7 has been pushed back owing to COVID-related constraints in the Shanghai site of HoYoverse’s headquarters. The delay has had an impact on the development of some of the planned contents, as evident in the late addition of the “Spices From the West” event. Nonetheless, Genshin Impact continues to be active in addressing concerns with the features that are currently available.
As stated in a recent post from Genshin Impact, Version 2.7 update maintenance is expected to begin on May 31 at 6:00 AM (UTC+8) and will be finished within five hours. Meanwhile, it is anticipated that the duration of Version 2.7 will be six weeks. This will be followed by the release of Version 2.8 on July 13th, 2022.
Furthermore, Genshin Impact has also announced that the current Character Event Wish, Weapon Event Wish, and “Test Run” event will end on May 31 at 5:59 AM (UTC+8). The countdown time display on the Wish screen and Events Overview page will also be adjusted according to the latest schedule of the 2.7 update’s release. Meanwhile, there will be no changes to the end times of other in-game events.
Following the completion of the maintenance for the Version 2.7 update, the maintenance for the Placement Function in the Serenitea Pot will likewise come to an end. Players will then be able to continue using the Placement Function and invite characters and companions staying in the Serenitea Pot to try out the Fragrant Dishes they have prepared during the “Spices From the West” event. The final 2.6 event will continue to run until June 7th.
