Genshin Impact, the hit action RPG from developer and publisher miHoYo, has just revealed an all-new “Windblume’s Breath” trailer. Today’s trailer features gorgeous cinematics, light gameplay footage, and extensive details on the update.

The trailer doesn’t include a concrete release date, but it does say Windblume’s Breath is “coming soon”. For reference, the original Windblume Festival rolled out on March 17th, 2021, for the Version 1.4 update. You can watch the new trailer on Genshin Impact’s official YouTube channel here:

Genshin Impact hosted a monumental Version 3.5 Special Program today, resulting in a series of major announcements. This included key character introductions for Dehya and Mika, as well as a big reveal for the update’s Event Wishes. For closer details, here’s a tweet from Genshin Impact’s Twitter feed:

Windblume has been a fan favorite since the first festival. Sadly, it has also been quite a while since the last one, so this is a great opportunity for fans who missed it. After all, Genshin Impact gets countless new players, none of whom ever had the chance.

The new Windblume trailer features some glorious cinematics, combining characters in interesting ways with very well-staged set pieces driven by compelling lore.

There are a variety of challenges in Windblume, which have a wide range of simplicity. For example, today’s trailer shows off a basic photo challenge, as well as the classic timed balloon challenge. But there’s also going to be a rhythm game, a tougher one that came up in the original festival with Ballads of Breeze.

The Windblume Festival is always a fun opportunity for Genshin Impact to indulge casual and unique mechanics. Finding throwbacks to the first are nice, but hopefully Windblume releases more consistently in the future and brings all-new content. The first time around, Windblume lasted just a couple of weeks, so fans can probably expect the same this year.
