Genvid Entertainment has finally unveiled the official trailer for the highly anticipated SILENT HILL: Ascension. The video offers a glimpse into the characters and narrative of this spin-off in the Silent Hill franchise.
Developed by Genvid Technologies in collaboration with Bad Robot Games and Behaviour Interactive, SILENT HILL: Ascension is an upcoming interactive streaming series in which players determine the outcome of the story. It was initially announced by Konami in October 2022, alongside other forthcoming Silent Hill projects in development.
In SILENT HILL: Ascension, new and horrifying Silent hill monsters torment multiple protagonists from various locations around the world. These creatures lurk in the shadows and threaten to consume people, their children, and entire towns. As the story progresses, the characters are dragged deeper into the darkness by both recent murders and long-suppressed guilt and fears.
SILENT HILL: Ascension departs from other titles in the franchise in that it is not merely a traditional video game but rather a Massively Interactive Live Event (MILE) that promises to provide an incredibly immersive interactive experience. Thanks to Genvid Technologies’ real-time interactive system, viewers worldwide will have the opportunity to experience the horrifying story of SILENT HILL: Ascension and ultimately decide the fate of a new cast of characters.
This new take on delivering an authentic horror experience to Silent Hill fans has sparked some concern and curiosity since it was first revealed. However, the recently released trailer suggests that SILENT HILL: Ascension strives to remain true to the franchise’s iconic graphics, atmospheric elements, and storytelling, while utilizing new technologies and methods to engage and captivate its dedicated fanbase.
“We’ve gone the extra mile to create a dreamlike world in SILENT HILL: Ascension with disturbing, hyper-detailed characters, other-worldly monsters, immersive atmospheres, and an overall audio and visual design that our team is very proud of.”
Chris Amaral, Art Director at Bad Robot Games
As soon as SILENT HILL: Ascension goes live later this year, fans will be able to tune in to live community-driven moments. By the time the last scene streams, viewers will have the opportunity to participate in determining the fate of the characters who have managed to survive this terrifying journey.
