Ahead of its imminent release, more details about the newest installment in the hardcore FPP slasher series, Ghostrunner 2, are being revealed, including its upcoming Season Pass Ice Pack expansion. Recently, publisher 505 Games has shared a brand-new trailer, offering a sneak peek into the exciting content of the Season Pass.
Developed by One More Level, Ghostrunner 2 continues the story a year after the events of the original Ghostrunner, which sees the fall of the Keymaster, a tyrant who ruled over Dharma Tower, the last refuge of mankind. The protagonist, Jack, is returning in this sequel with a new mission to take on the violent AI cult that has assembled outside Dharma Tower and shape the future of humanity.
Ghostrunner 2 features incredible katana combat mechanics, a deeper exploration of the world beyond Dharma Tower, nonlinear levels with complex motorbike sections, and exciting new modes, all while retaining the action elements that defined the original game.
With the Ice Pack expansion of the Season Pass, players will have access to four cosmetic DLC packs and one unforgettable game mode. Each of the cosmetic packs contains 3x sword skins, 3x hand skins, and one motorcycle skin. The Season Pass is available as part of the Brutal Edition, which also offers 48-hour early access. Season Pass can also be purchased separately, with the Ice Pack slated for release on December 7.
More additional content for the 2023 to 2024 Season Pass are expected to arrive in Ghostrunner 2, including the Dragon Pack, Heat Pack, Endless Moto Mode, and Anniversary Pack, with release date set for February 2024, June 2024, September 2024, and October 2024, respectively. Fans can look forward to more information about these additional content in the future.
Ghostrunner 2 is scheduled to be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 26, 2023. Pre-orders are still open on Steam, GOG, EGS, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store.
