Ghostwire: Tokyo, the action-adventure game developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks in 2022, is set to launch its free Spider’s Thread update next month. This major update is revealed to bring a new game mode, new side missions, and extended cutscenes along with some combat enhancements, and other updates.
Ghostwire: Tokyo‘s Spider’s Thread Update will launch on April 12th on PlayStation 5 and PC. Ghostwire: Tokyo will also finally be available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass after a year of PS5 exclusivity. According to the latest post on Ghostwire: Tokyo‘s Steam page, the update will introduce a new roguelite mode, The Spider’s Thread, where players must clear enemies floor-by-floor to reach the end while uncovering a mysterious new story. There are also new areas to explore in the main game, including the eerie Middle School, as well as new missions to unravel. The Spider’s Thread Update also adds new and extended main story cutscenes
Ghostwire: Tokyo’s upcoming Spider’s Thread Update will also feature new combat skills, such as the new Quick Dodge and Perfect Block Counter-Attack skill, and more. These new combat skills will be useful in defeating new enemy Visitors that have infiltrated the streets of Tokyo.
The Spider’s Thread update also expanded the Photo Mode, allowing players to add stamps to their screenshots and use Meika to unlock figures at capsule machines to use in Photo Mode.
So far, the trailer has only given a few glimpses at the content of Ghostwire: Tokyo Spider‘s Thread update. Nonetheless, it has certainly generated excitement among fans, knowing that there are still more new features and content to look forward to after almost a year since it has been released.
